My name is Jamie Kutaj, and I live on Vancouver Island, in Sidney, BC. I teach guitar in my home and globally with FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom.
Whether you have never touched a guitar before, are an experienced player of many years, or you are looking for a teacher for your child, I believe you will be more than satisfied choosing me.
I take pride in being familiar with a variety of styles including but not limited to: Rock, Blues, R&B, Pop, Jazz, Folk, Country, Funk, Reggae, Soul, and Motown. I teach acoustic and electric guitar using a pick, fingerpicking, and also with a bottleneck slide.
Music is at the heart of our society and is the world’s universal language. Listeners and performers have a powerful and ancient relationship with music and experience emotions such as joy, excitement, solace, love, community, and a sense of connection to one another. Anyone that plays a guitar can gain fulfillment, confidence, and an artistic outlet with which to express their innermost feelings and stories. I have chosen to dedicate my life teaching in order to spread this gift of music, one person at a time…
